Is Reiki safe for everyone?
Yes. It is a gentle therapy that’s safe for anyone, including pregnant women, babies and seniors. It is a non-invasive practice with no known side effects. It can complement medical or therapeutic treatments, but is not a substitute for medical care.
How does Reiki work?
Reiki practitioners act as a conduit for universal energy, which flows through their hands into the recipient. This energy helps restore balance and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit.
What can I expect during an In-person Reiki session?
During a session, you will lie fully clothed on a treatment table while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above your body in a series of positions. You may feel warmth, tingling, or a deep sense of relaxation. Whatever you need is what you will experience.
What can I expect from a Remote Reiki Session?
Remote Reiki, also known as Distance Reiki, works on the principle that energy is not limited by time or space. During a session, the recipient lies down in a comfortable environment of their choosing while the practitioner sends the energy. Do note that there is no difference in the quality of healing between a remote session & an in-person session.
How long is a Reiki session / How many sessions will I need?
My sessions are typically 60 or 90 minutes long. Benefits can be felt after one session; however, others benefit from regular treatments for ongoing concerns or deeper healing. The number of sessions needed varies based on your goals and is assessed individually.
What can I expect after the treatment?
You can find yourself either very relaxed or feeling re-energized. Most people feel an immediate improvement in their energy and level of pain. It is not unusual for people to experience mild detoxification as the body adjusts itself to the energy shift. You may also want to rest more, so allow time for that. I always suggest to drink extra water and/or herbal tea so that toxins are flushed out more readily.
